Three foundational UX research methods-Contextual Inquiry, Surveys and Questionnaires, and A/B Testing-offer insights into user needs, behaviors, and preferences. Contextual Inquiry provides deep, qualitative understanding by observing users in their natural environments. Surveys and questionnaires enable scalable collection of both qualitative and quantitative data, uncovering trends and pain points across large user bases. A/B Testing delivers rapid, data-driven validation of design choices by comparing different versions with real users.
▼ LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1.Identify when to apply three key UX research methods: Contextual Inquiry, Surveys/Questionnaires, and A/B Testing
2.Describe the core principles and procedures for conducting each research method
3.Recognize the strengths and limitations of each approach
4.Select appropriate research methods based on specific business goals and questions
5.Apply basic evaluation criteria to assess the quality of research findings from each method
